Two semifinal games were played Saturday afternoon in Lexington. In the first matchup, No. 1 seed Washington & Lee faced off against No. 5 Hampden-Sydney. The Generals tied the game up 7-7 with 30 seconds in regulation to force overtime, and Bobby Clagett scored the golden goal.

After nine years and 327 games later, University of Lynchburg baseball is back on top of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference as the Hornets defeated Shenandoah University 9-8 in walk-off fashion on Fox Field Saturday afternoon to claim Lynchburg’s ninth title in program history.

Lynchburg women’s basketball using length and versatility to advantage in 2021

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg lady Hornets went 13-14 overall last year, but head coach Katie Crump says maturity and experience will be the catalyst in games this season. “We’ve got so much experience coming back, we did lose a few,” Crump said. Another asset Lynchburg possesses is length and versatility, which was on display in Saturday’s opener. “What’s really cool about our team is really versatile, anywhere on the court we have assets that can knock the ball down,” Quarrels said. And while 2021 started off with a close loss to Bridgewater, they know the energy will carry them far.
