Liberty Christian Academy Bulldogs honored the life and legacy of Cash Gaudio during their home game this week.
The 19-year-old was tragically shot in his driveway last year and passed away. The stands were packed with fans wearing orange, Cash’s favorite color, creating a vibrant tribute.
During the event, the first Student Spirit Leader Award was presented in Cash’s memory, marking a special moment for the community.
On the field, LCA started the game fast. On the opening drive, Jayden Cowart found a lane and sprinted 30 yards for a touchdown, putting the Bulldogs up 7-0.
On the next possession, facing a fourth and short, Cowart again made a big play, scoring to extend the lead to 14-0.
The Bulldogs’ defense showed strength in the first quarter. Austin Tremblay and Roman Aronson combined for a sack on the quarterback, forcing a fourth down.
This defensive stop set up Henry Maier, who caught a punt at the 45-yard line, evaded a defender, and used his speed to score.
LCA dominated the game, finishing with a 50-14 victory.
