The canceled game follows a contract tracing review within the Virginia Tech men’s basketball program. The team is adhering to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report, which is available on theACC.com (full report). 9th-ranked UVA survives trip to Georgia Tech
Atlanta, Ga. – Trey Murphy III scored 18 points, Kihei Clark added 14 and No. 9 Virginia pulled away from Georgia Tech down the stretch for a 57-49 victory. Virginia finished on a 16-5 run in a game that was tight most of the way. Georgia Tech lost to Virginia for the second time this season and missed a chance to give its postseason resume a big boost. The Yellow Jackets dropped to 9-7 overall and 5-5 in the ACC.

Obviously, we didn’t have a lot of numbers in the rotation, but we played tough enough in the second half. We responded well to adversity and being shorthanded and, you know, a very good second half. I think he’s, he’s quiet by nature but he does stuff. At first we weren’t really pressuring the ball and then in the second half we really started pressuring the ball.
