A Lynchburg woman accused of attacking officers with a knife on two separate occasions in 2023 has pleaded guilty.

Ashley Biggs Neeley was shot by police in May and then again in September.

The use of deadly force in an officer-involved shooting that occurred in September of 2023 has been deemed justifiable, according to the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Lynchburg, Bethany Harrison.

Court documents show Ashley Gibbs Neeley received a furlough order to leave Amherst County Adult Detention Center and complete a program at Southstone Recovery Center.

A woman shot by police in May has been shot again for attempting to attack officers with knives.

No officers will be charged after an officer-involved shooting in May.
