Ronaldo has won five Champions League titles — one with Manchester United and the rest with Real Madrid, including three straight from 2016-18. The two have even met in the final, with Messi and Barcelona beating Ronaldo and Man United 2-0 in 2009.

American coach makes his mark by winning Austrian title

Marsch led Salzburg to this seasons Austrian league title, the most significant trophy won by an American coach in Europe. And, you know, I mean, its very sink or swim in Europe.In his first season as coach of Salzburg, Marsch had little trouble staying afloat despite a raft of problems. American coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, however, led Stuttgart to promotion in Germany this season. After winning the Austrian title, Marsch says he wants to stay in the moment, rather than making longer-term plans.

Haaland goals secure Bundesliga runner-up spot for Dortmund
(AP Photo/Jens Meyer, Pool)BERLIN Erling Haaland scored twice as Borussia Dortmund sealed second place in the Bundesliga with a 2-0 win at third-place Leipzig on Saturday. On his first professional start, 17-year-old American Gio Reyna set up Haaland on a counterattack in the 30th minute. It means Dortmund is assured of second place with one game of the season remaining. Despite defeat, Leipzig is virtually assured of Champions League soccer next season. Dodi Lukebakio, who combined with Krzysztof Piatekto set up Cunha, scored Herthas second goal early in the second half, when Piatek gave him an easy finish.

The team was right on point.Both Bayern and Dortmund have been in record-breaking form with nine wins from 10 games since the seasons halfway stage. Haaland can be another (Robert) Lewandowski, former Dortmund and Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld told Kicker magazine, referring to Bayerns Polish star who scored 12 goals in his last six games against Dortmund. Dortmund, the last team other than Bayern to win the title in 2012, has consistently come closest in recent years.
