VDOT said that a multi-vehicle crash on I-581 North is causing delays at mile marker 5.5 Wednesday evening. The north left shoulder, left lane and center lane are currently closed.

A vehicle crash on I-581 Northbound at mile marker 0.7 is causing delays in the City of Roanoke. Motorists can expect delays and the north center lane, right lane and right shoulder are closed. The on-ramp from Williamson Road to I-581 North is narrowed, according to VDOT.

If you’re driving on Interstate 81 northbound in Roanoke County, you can expect delays, VDOT reports.
