Vehicle fire on I-81N in Roanoke County cleared

The scene of this incident has been cleared, according to VDOT.

If you’re driving on Interstate 81 northbound in Roanoke County, you can expect delays, VDOT reports.

Authorities said there is a tractor-trailer fire near the 145.5 exit, closing the north right lane and right shoulder.

At this time, traffic is backed up for 4 miles and for half of a mile on I-581 North.
