Ten hours of sleep a night and a cheat day every week – how J-Lo looks this good at 52
When you look at the pictures of Jennifer Lopez celebrating her 52nd birthday on a yacht with her boyfriend Ben Affleck this week, you would be forgiven for thinking you were in a time warp back to the early 2000s. Not strictly because of the pair’s rekindled relationship, or the fact they recreated that famous ‘Jenny from the block’ boat scene, but because of J-Lo’s sculpted physique, which has barely changed since her 30s. This isn’t the first time that J-Lo’s appearance has stunned fellow mid
news.yahoo.comSeriously, what is happening between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck?
Late last Friday, Page Six broke the earth-shattering news that Jennifer Lopez has been "spending time" with her ex-fiancé, Ben Affleck, after announcing her split from her more recent fiancé, Alex Rodriguez. Tragically, there have not been hourly updates on this development, although Page Six reported Monday that Affleck was in attendance when J.Lo performed "Sweet Caroline" at "Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World" on Sunday night. Lopez said she picked the song because her mom sang it to her when she was a baby — though "Sweet Caroline" is famously played during the eighth inning of every Red Sox home game. Affleck, of course, is a huuuge Red Sox fan; what's more, Lopez used to attend Sox games with Affleck when they were dating. Coincidence? What is going on! Read more at Page Six. Some tribal members complained about the mishmash of songs sung by Lopez that included lyrics from This Land is your Land. (Erin Schaff/The New York Times via AP, Pool, File)FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – On the first day of Joe Biden's presidency, Native Americans had reason to celebrate. Inaugural events showcased tribes across the country in traditional regalia, dancing and in prayer. And then there was the mishmash of songs sung by Jennifer Lopez that included lyrics from “This Land is Your Land." “In order to make it work, ‘this land is your land, this land is my land,' people (need) to understand it doesn’t belong to us,” said Tebo, who also is Winnebago.

cbsnews.comFor a splintered nation, a delicate moment of continuity
When it gazes into the mirror, the United States does not generally see a land of process and procedure. The bold, splashy storylines that Americans crave, and have used to construct their nation, don't always play well with repetition and routine. That's where process, procedure and ritual come in. And that for every deafening moment that lurches the nation forward, there are countless procedural ones that inch it along. For one moment, whatever kind of American you are, whatever you’re upset about and however you voted, this land was incontrovertibly your land.

(AP Photo/Patrick Semansky, Pool)Joe Biden and Kamala Harris showcased American designers at their inauguration Wednesday, and Harris gave a nod to women's suffrage, Shirley Chisholm and her beloved sorority in pearls and purple. Another inauguration fashion star on Twitter was Nikolas Ajagu, the husband of Harris' niece, Meena Harris. Hollywood on the Potomac: A-list turns out for Biden-Harris
Lady Gaga sings the national anthem during the 59th Presidential Inauguration at the U.S. Capitol for President-elect Joe Biden in Washington, Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021. And country star Garth Brooks, doffing his black cowboy hat, sang a soulful a capella rendition of “Amazing Grace,” his eyes closed for much of the song. While stars mostly eschewed Trump's inauguration four years ago, the A-list was back for Biden. Brooks was careful to call his decision to perform on Wednesday non-political, and in the spirit of unity. Alone with his guitar, The Boss sang his “Land of Hope and Dreams” in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

From Gaga to Garth, Miranda to Moreno: Celebs join inaugural
(AP Photo/Andrew Harnik)Like so much this past year, the inaugural celebration will be like no other: pared down, distanced, much of it virtual. But for actor Christopher Jackson — the original George Washington in Broadway's “Hamilton" — performing in a virtual “ball” is a way of participating in an essential rite of American democracy. Miranda will contribute a classical recitation, joining musicians like Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake and Bon Jovi. The inaugural committee has made sure to blend this high-powered list with ordinary Americans and inspiring stories. And the “AAPI Inaugural Ball: Breaking Barriers” celebrated the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities with planned participants including actors Kal Penn, John Cho, Kumail Nanjiani and Chloe Bennet.

INAUGURATION EXPLAINER: Biden's event will be very different
The outgoing president traditionally attends the inauguration to symbolize the peaceful transfer of power. And there will be no inaugural balls for Biden, Harris and their spouses to dance the night away. But in the wake of the violent Jan. 6 mob attack on the Capitol by Trump supporters, all semblance of normality might be gone. Biden, first lady Jill Biden, Harris and second gentlemen Douglas Emhoff will later visit Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The inauguration comes just two weeks after the insurrection at the Capitol by Trump supporters as Congress was confirming Biden's victory.
