Kentucky Fried Chicken is leaving its ancestral home state by relocating its U.S. corporate office to Texas.

Kentucky Fried Chicken announced it is putting the brakes on their iconic “finger lickin’ good” slogan, which has been a part of the company since 1956, as coronavirus cases spread around the world. The company noted it is trying to preserve the safety and health of their customers around the world amid the global pandemic. But amid the declaration of the coronavirus as a global pandemic, “finger lickin’ good,” might not be the best option. There are currently 125,000 cases of coronavirus confirmed globally, according to CNN.
