LYNCHBURG, Va. The Liberty Flames are set for a 10-game schedule on the gridiron this season. The addition of Coastal Carolina and North Alabama completes a revised 10-game schedule for the Flames in 2020, which includes five home games and five road games. Wednesdays announcement gives Liberty its third scheduled match-up against the Flames former Big South rival Coastal Carolina. Liberty posted wins in Conway, S.C., in 2008 and 2014, while Coastal Carolina left Lynchburg with a victory in 2005 and 2013. Liberty originally had North Carolina A&T, Bowling Green, UMass and UConn on its original 2020 schedule.

ROANOKE, Va. - The Roanoke Tigers Elite AAU track team is preparing for their biggest meet yet. They're heading to the AAU Junior Olympics at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro on Saturday. "We've been very lucky that we have so much diversity in age and specialty and talent that we've actually managed to bring a pretty big group down to Greensboro," thrower Kalei said. Most teams share bond within the same age range, but the Tigers consider themselves unique and extremely lucky. "So it's like a big family, big brothers, big sisters, it's fun when you watch those kids at the meets, they're sitting in eachother's laps theyre cheering eachother on.

"When we were entering the final 400, we were maybe in second place, about 7 meters behind," he said. "I just got to make up the lead for that, I passed him in the last 100, I passed him and that was it." "It felt amazing winning with my friends and everything, feeling so much excitement, I was so happy," the senior said. "These guys put in a lot of hard training and hard work, and extra work throughout the season and it actually paid off here in the end," head coach Robert Vineyard said.
