The singer and husband Emilio Estefan's restaurant Estefan Kitchen served up homemade meals for health care workers in Miami. The challenge coordinated offers by celebrities and athletes to raise funds to feed those in need during the pandemic.

Leonardo DiCaprio's foundation donating $3 million to Australia fire relief

Leonardo DiCaprio's Earth Alliance environmental organization will donate $3 million to help wildfire relief efforts in Australia. The foundation said Thursday that it has started the Australia Wildfire Fund to help with an "international response to the catastrophic bushfires" currently raging in the country. Phoebe Waller-Bridge said she would auction off her Globes outfit and have the proceeds go to firefighter relief at the Golden Globes on Sunday. Actor Russell Crowe skipped the Globes because he was home in Australia protecting his family. DiCaprio's foundation donated millions to help fight the wildfires that devastated the Amazon rainforest last year.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge signs overall deal with Amazon

(CNN) - Amazon Studios on Tuesday announced that it has signed an overall production deal with "Fleabag" creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge. For Amazon Studios, Waller-Bridge will create and produce new television content that will be exclusive to Prime Video. With this deal Amazon is locking down one of the most popular names in television amid a streaming war that pits the online retailer against Netflix, Disney, WarnerMedia and Apple. The Emmy Awards prove that the future of hit TV shows may not be on cable

Sunday's Emmy Awards is just one indicator of this trend.
