The Roanoke City Fire Department is currently handling a fire in Downtown Roanoke Market Square Friday. The department says that roads around Market Square are currently closed.

Crews are working to put out a house fire that sent one person to the hospital in Southeast Roanoke.

Todd Stone is a Bedford native who has spent 36 years with the department.
