ROANOKE, Va. – A breeze out of the north is keeping things comfortable from morning to afternoon, but it is also transporting smoke from wildfires up north. While the smoke isn’t leading to widespread air quality issues, it is leading to widespread haze.
That adds to a milky look in the sky and an eerie look at sunrise or sunset.

Outside of that, Tuesday will be a pleasantly warm day with highs in the 70s and 80s.
Come Wednesday, a front will squeeze a limited amount of moisture out in the form of occasional showers. Most of these will move south of I-64 through early afternoon.
Once that clears, humidity levels drop off big time. This will lead to cooler overnight lows Tuesday through Saturday.
The afternoons warm up, especially Saturday and Sunday. We’ll watch for a few afternoon showers Sunday.
Outside of that, most of the weekend is smooth sailing.
