ROANOKE, VA – After a brutal stretch of above average temperatures, we’ll slowly but surely get a bit of relief.
Temperatures Sunday will be warm, sitting in the low to mid 90s for most of the region. Parts of Southside could see a stray shower or two, but most of the rain will stay to our south in North Carolina.
As for the rest of the week, temperatures slowly cool into the mid to upper 80s, which will be much needed relief after the brutal stretch of heat and humidity we’ve experienced. There is a chance of an isolated shower or two each day this week.
Beryl is now a tropical storm, but is expected to intensify again before it makes landfall in Texas. Several parts of the Texas Gulf Coast are under Hurricane Watches and Warnings as a result. We could end up seeing a bit of rain later in the week from the outer bands of Beryl, but no severe weather is expected.
