ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Kroger announced the second recall in a week, affecting stores in the southwest Virginia region Wednesday.
According to Kroger's recall page on its website, single-bunch cilantro is recalled due to possible Cyclospora cayetanensis contamination. According to the CDC, cyclosporiasis is an intestinal illness caused by the microscopic parasite Cyclospora cayetanensis.

Two recall notices were posted on Kroger's website - one July 27 and another July 28, regarding the cilantro recall. The most recent recall notice lists Kroger stores in Virginia and Eastern West Virginia.

Reason: This product may be contaminated with Cyclospora cayetanensis and, if eaten, could result in severe illness to those who may consume this product.
