CHARLOTTESVILLE (WSLS) - The family of Nelson County teen Alexis Murphy said hearing about Hannah Graham's disappearance is like hearing about Alexis going missing all over again.
"It's really indescribable. There are no words. Words have not been written or found to describe what it's like every morning to go to bed every night wondering where somebody that you love is and not having a clue."
Alexis Murphy's aunt, Trina Murphy, said it was an instant sinking feeling in her stomach to hear another teen was reported missing just 30 miles from where Alexis disappeared. Alexis' body has never been found.
"It's really overwhelming. It's difficult," Murphy said.
Murphy's other aunt, Angela Taylor, who lives and works in Charlottesville, said the community is worried about the number of people vanishing in the area.
There's been a young person missing every year, for the last five years, within 40 miles of Charlottesville:

Now, both Taylor and Murphy are pleading for change. They are asking young women in particular to make sure they are keeping an eye out for their friends, not walking alone at night, and to be more aware of their surroundings.
"There's too much of this going on and no family, no person, no community, should have to go through another nightmare like this," Angela Taylor said.
