SALEM (WSLS 10) - A man registering as a sex offender ran from Sheriff's deputies Wednesday after they discovered he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Barry Cole, Jr. registered as a sex offender Wednesday afternoon.

When he left the building, deputies determined he was wanted for an outstanding warrant.
A spokesperson from Roanoke City Police said a police officer and a sheriff deputy pursued him before he climbed onto a building and hid.
Cole was eventually arrested along Salem Avenue.
