) - Investigators have found that Jesse Matthew's DNA does not match unidentified DNA found in Alexis Murphy's vehicle.
Investigators say that the social media sweep of Murphy's online accounts also showed no connection between the teen and Matthew.
Murphy, 17, disappeared in 2013. She was last seen at a gas station in Lovingston. Several days later, authorities found her car in an Albemarle County parking lot.
In September 2014, an attorney for Randy Taylor, the man convicted for Murphy's murder, asked investigators to do new DNA testing to check for a possible link between Murphy and Matthew, who's charged with the abduction of missing UVa. student Hannah Graham and a 2005 Fairfax rape.
Matthew was arrested and charged last September with abducting 18-year-old Graham, whose remains were found near Charlottesville after a month-long search. Authorities say DNA evidence links him to the 2005 assault in Fairfax as well as the 2009 disappearance and death of Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington.
In October 2014, Hannah's body was found outside a vacant home in Albemarle County. Matthew has been charged in her abduction, but not murder.
