ROANOKE (WSLS10) Hundreds of people laced up their shoes to make a difference for school kids.
Over 400 people raced in the annual Shamrock Hill Run in Roanoke Saturday morning.
People can run in a 5k or 10k.
The money raised helps with scholarships or tuition at Roanoke Catholic School.
"It's so important tuition it expensive and we recognize that so anytime you have opportunity that brings the community together the Gainsboro community, the city of Roanoke the counties of Roanoke and Botetourt and Bedford its great we're so so excited," Patrick Patterson the principal of Roanoke Catholic School said.
