ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Earlier this week, Roanoke City police reported they've responded to nearly three thousand calls on the same block as Stefano's on the Market.
WSLS 10 requested a breakdown of the numbers through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

According to the information provided by the city, since 2012, there were 320 incidents at Stefano's on the Market. Compared to incidents at other popular downtown establishments, Stefano's ranked highest on that list.
Corned Beef & Company Bar and Gridd, at 107 S Jefferson St, had 150 incidents. Cornerstone Bar and Grill, at 24 Campbell Ave SW, had 64 incidents. And Sidewinders Steakhouse and Saloon, at 16 Campbell Ave SW had 48 incidents.
Additional information provided by the city showed the total number of calls made to police - whether officers were sent to assist or not - for incidents in the downtown area were in the thousands. Nearly 3,000 "calls for service impacting public safety" were made for the 1-block area surrounding Stefano's. And 2,376 of the same type of calls were made for Cornerstone Bar and Grill, followed closely by Metro, Sidewinders Steakhouse and Saloon and Corned Beef & Company Bar and Grill.
