KSN) - Wichita police are investigating after a 13-year-old girl shared nude photos with her 13-year-old boyfriend.

Police were called Monday to a home near 47th Street South and Washington.
The mother said her 13-year-old daughter had taken cell phone photos of her private parts and shared them with her 13-year-old boyfriend. The mother says he then passed them along to some friends who shared them on social media.
"Definitely a bad choice made here by taking photos of body parts and then distributing them to anybody," said Lt. James Espinoza, Wichita Police Department.
Lt. James Espinoza says the boy could be charged.
"If we can obtain documentation from his or anybody that has those pictures webpage or Facebook page, we do have investigators. That is what they do all day," said Lt. Espinoza.
Espinoza says possession of pornography is a serious offense. He adds that parents need to keep an eye on what their children are doing.
"It is a teachable moment. Parents need to make sure that have good communication with their kids. Make sure the kids know these things last forever. Pictures don't go away."
