RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Dominion Virginia Power has released a new online interactive power outage map.
The utility says the new map provides detailed information to enable customers to quickly report and accurately track power outages and restoration.

The new features include mobile compatibility for most smartphones and tablets and new icons that indicate the number and general location of work requests.
The map will also update more frequently, refreshing every 15 minutes. Those who visit the site will also be able to search the map by landmarks and road intersections.
