"I heard a loud thrashing noise," Wyms said.
When he got out bed, he learned a Lincoln Navigator slammed into his living room.
"It seemed so unbelievable, at the time I didn't know what was going on, suddenly I heard some moaning, and it looked like there was a vehicle that had driven through my house," Wyms said.
Investigators said there was a lot of damage to the home. They estimate over $50,000.
Radford Police said the driver of the Lincoln Navigator 21 year old Breana Thompson drove through one of Wym's neighbor's fence, hit another neighbor's swing set, and hit Wyms living room.
"The swing was pushed all the way through under my truck, my truck had been damaged and you can see all the damage it done to my home, Wyms said.
Wyms said the living room was filled with pictures and videos of his late wife.
"My wife has passed away she was an excellent singer we used to do the Food Lion commercials and I have a lot of documentation. Some of that documentation was in this very room even some of her older records are there, you can see there in corner, and I'm hoping by all means they are not damaged because those are precious memories to me, Wyms said.
Wyms said he's filed insurance claims. Radford Police say Thompson has been charged with a DUI.
