ROCKBRIDGE CO. (WSLS10) - A fire destroyed a historic landmark in Lexington. It happened around 10:30 Saturday night at Good Place Farms Bed and Breakfast.
The owner said about 40 people were there staying for a wedding and said everyone is alive, thanks to a 10 year old.

Ten year old Ashton Dunford said he smelled paper burning Saturday evening.
Dunford lives next to the bed and breakfast.
He walked over and later saw flames, that's when he yelled to everyone who was asleep inside, there was a fire.
"A lot of smoke was upstairs and we started seeing flames," Dunford said.
The owner of the B&B called Ashton a hero because he warned everyone to get out.
"I feel pretty good, because I knew people were upstairs sleeping," Ashton said.
The owner, Justin Peery, was a photographer and said he lost all of his pictures in the fire.
"All of my memories, all of my photography, all of my backup drives, the magazines of the models I represented all of that was in here," Peery said.
Rockbridge County Emergency Management Coordinator Robert Foresman said 9 fire departments responded to the fire.
Foresman said about 50 to 75 firefighters were out battling the blazes and it took about an hour to knock out.
Peery who was also a former fire fighter is glad no one was hurt.
He's currently in talks with his insurance company and still is debating on whether he wants to rebuild.
Meanwhile, the guests are being assisted by the Red Cross.
