CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) - During Monday's Shred-A-Thon event, the cumulative total of documents shredded broke 1 million pounds.
The first Shred-A-Thon event was in November 2014.

65,000 pounds of documents were shreded in Christiansburg alone. So many people stopped by that Kodiak had to rent an extra truck to hold all of the paper.
We'll be at the Schewels at 7007 Timberlake Road in Lynchburg on May 16.
This month's Shred-A-Thon will conclude on May 23 at the Schewels at 3602 Ferncliff Avenue in Roanoke.
Both events last from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
