APPOMATTOX (WSLS 10) – A little more than three months after the EF3 tornado hit Evergreen, the distribution center at Evergreen Baptist Church in Appomattox closes.
Coordinator for the Evergreen Baptist Church Tornado Relief Distribution Center Matt Torrence says the measure is a recommended, proactive action to help tornado victims transition to become more self-reliant.

"The church will however continue to work along-side the Appomattox County Long Term Recovery Group and assist as needed and where needed," Torrence said.
Families still in need can pick up supplies between 8 a.m. and noon on Saturday. After noon, the center will no longer accept donations or give out supplies.
