BEDFORD (WSLS 10) - Students across the country are learning about what happened 75 years ago from a man who lived to tell his story.
The National D-Day Memorial Foundation is offering live stream seminars, from a studio inside the foundation's Bedford office.
The memorial teamed up with a company called Field Trip Zoom to create the virtual classroom.
The lessons are on various World War II topics, geared toward different grade levels.
"We're able to pull out artifacts that we aren't able to show with this being an outdoor site and show it off to children throughout the nation so it's a really cool opportunity," said Maggie Mitchell, Education Coordinator at The National D-Day Memorial.
On Wednesday, a class in Chicago and home-school students in Michigan heard from Pearl Harbor veteran Leonard Peverall and saw items related to that day.
