Police: Two boys arrested after stealing guns from Lynchburg pawn shop

Each juvenile faces two charges

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Lynchburg police charged two juveniles it says stole multiple guns from a pawn shop on Tuesday.

At about 2:16 a.m., police responded to an alarm and reported burglary at L Oppleman, a pawn shop at 909 Main St.

Within minutes, of arriving, police say they say two people running from the area. Both were taken into custody without incident and identified as male juveniles.

As a result of the investigation, both juvenile males were charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny.

Police say that Tuesday morning's burglary was connected to an incident at the pawn shop on April 15.

One of the boys now faces additional charges: breaking and entering, grand larceny and selling stolen firearms.

Both juveniles are being held at the Lynchburg Juvenile Detention Home.

This investigation is still ongoing, according to police.
