ALBEMARLE COUNTY – An Albemarle County teacher is sentenced on sex charges with a minor.
Amelia Tat will serve two years in prison after pleading guilty to having an inappropriate relationship with a teenager.
Court documents show that tat contacted a 14-year-old student over Instagram and Snapchat.
The two of them eventually had an intimate relationship in her classroom.
A psychologist testified that tat should have regular physical visitation with her four-month-old child to keep a healthy relationship between the two.
Tat is also accused of a similar incident in Lynchburg.
