Police: 12 arrested for distributing illegal drugs in Martinsvile police operation

Grand jury handed down 82 indictments Monday

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Twelve people have been arrested as part of a large number of indictments handed down by a Martinsville grand jury.

The grand jury handed down 82 indictments Monday. Of those, 35 were related to the distribution of illegal drugs and were sealed by Martinsville Circuit Court until the 12 individuals charged could be arrested.

Members of the Martinsville Police Department, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, the U.S. Marshals Service,  the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration Diversion Control Division and the Martinsville Sheriff’s Office served all 35 indictments on Wednesday.

The following people face charges:

  • Matthew Robert Agee, of Collinsville, is charged with selling oxycodone and conspiracy to sell oxycodone.
  • Robert Bradley Agee, of Collinsville, is charged with two counts of selling oxycodone and conspiracy to sell oxycodone.
  • Javon Marquis Tarpley, of Martinsville, is charged with two counts of selling marijuana and selling imitation cocaine.
  • Justin O'Neil Logan, of Martinsville, is charged with selling hydrocodone.
  • Cynthia Roknich, of Martinsville, is charged with selling hydrocodone and amphetamine, seven counts of selling oxycodone and four counts of selling oxymorphone.
  • Matthew Logan Taylor, of Ridgeway, is charged with possessing methamphetamine.
  • Kaitlyn Brianna Stanley, of Axton, is charged with possession of heroin and methamphetamine.
  • Brandi Nicole Custer, of Martinsville, is charged with possession of heroin and methamphetamine.
  • Courtney Thompson, of Fieldale, is charged with possession of alprazolam and methamphetamine.
  • Marcus Antonio Bradley, of Martinsville, is charged with possession of cocaine and oxycodone.
  • Robert Dale Spence Jr., of Fieldale, is charged with possession of heroin.
  • Toby James Harris, of Martinsville, is charged with possession of hydrocodone and methamphetamine.
