ROANOKE, Va. – With so many random "days" observed in the course of a year, it's no surprise that there's one for Coca-Cola.

The Coca-Cola brand is well known. NBC reports that the drink is recognized by 94 percent of the world's population.
Things aren't going swimmingly for the beverage company at the moment. CNN reports that it announced plans to cut more than 1,000 jobs amid a sales slump.
Forbes ranked Coca-Cola as the world's fourth most valuable brand in 2016, worth $58.5 billion, behind Apple, Google and Microsoft, but about $6 billion ahead of Facebook.
