PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman found dead Monday afternoon.
Kimberly Garcia-Banuelos, 53, of Danville, was found on the side of Route 265.
Investigators have ruled out foul play in her death.Â
The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found by the side of the road Monday afternoon.
Near the southbound lane of Route 265, a woman's body was found near the road by a passing motorist who stopped to help what was believed to be a stranded motorist.
The Sheriff's Office responded about 4 p.m. and investigators have since completed their crime scene investigation and identified the body.
That identification will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
The body was taken to the medical examiner's office in Roanoke to determine the cause and manner of death.
