Hundreds of employees are being laid off in Salem.
According to Virginia Warn Notices, LSC Communications on Technology Drive is letting go of 140 employees.
Formerly a part of R R Donnelley, the communications company provides marketing and business communication plans, commercial printing and other related services.
Mariellen Vorhees says she knew the layoffs the were coming but was hoping it wasn't this soon.
She first heard of the layoffs and closure Tuesday morning. she says corporate met with workers this week letting them know of the lay-offs.
She says she will miss her coworkers she also calls family.
"We've been together more than we have our own family. The company is a good company. It's nothing that they do wrong, it's nothing we did wrong. It's just everything is going on computers now,"
Headquartered in Chicago, the company employs more than 42,000 around the globe.
