ROANOKE – UPDATE: As a result of the investigation, detectives say Deontray Antwan Clements, 28, of Roanoke, has been charged with malicious wounding for shooting Priscilla Trusclair.
Police said Clements and Trusclair knew to each other.
Police said additional warrants were obtained and served on Clements from an incident on May 23 for assault and battery and strangulation.
The victim in that incident was also Trusclair according to police.

A woman was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Roanoke.
Police on scene said the call came in at 8:55 a.m. on Thursday, about a reported shooting in the 3600 block of Shenandoah Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a woman inside a home with a gunshot wound.
Police identified the woman as Priscilla Elise Trusclair, 26, of Roanoke.
Roanoke Fire-EMS transported Trusclair to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Police said there have been no arrests made.
