DANVILLE, Va. – A pawnshop is helping more people than ever before have a happy, and tasty, Thanksgiving.
Riverside Pawn in Danville is giving away over 200 turkeys.

The company started this tradition in 2007 by giving away around 25 turkeys to some of its best customers.
Each year, the company has increased the number of turkeys.
This year though, people could e-mail the pawnshop requesting a turkey if they knew of a family in need.
Owner Jason Wilson said the response was overwhelming.
"It's one small way that we can give back to all the communities that support us year-round," Wilson said. "They've been so good to us for 12 years being in business. It's just a very small way that we can give back."
The deadline to sign up to receive a turkey is 5 p.m. Tuesday. To sign up, e-mail the pawnshop at riversidepawn2384@gmail.com.
The turkeys will be handed out Wednesday at the company's seven locations beginning around 10 a.m.
