A standoff in Roanoke County ended after almost four hours.

Five people were arrested on obstruction charges from inside the home and another person was taken into custody earlier in the day.

On Monday morning, Roanoke County police and SWAT were on Santa Anita Terrace, not far from Williamson Road.

These arrests were in connection to a Saturday morning robbery at the Clipper Food Mart, also on Williamson Road, according to police.

While the standoff was still going on, one suspect was arrested, but we were told another person of interest was still inside the residence.

Becky Murphy, who lives in Boxley Hills, thought she was going to have a quiet Labor Day with a barbecue.

"My neighbor called me and she said, 'Look out your bedroom window. There's a cop outside your window.' So I looked and went out front. I didn't see what she was talking about. But a little later, the crime lab was there, the street was blocked, cops everywhere. I didn't know what to think. I wanted to know what was going on so I said, 'I gotta get outside."

At around 2:30 p.m., five people came out and were put into different police cars.

One woman was even smiling for the cameras from the backseat of a police car.
