The 78th National Thanksgiving Turkey Pardoning Ceremony was held on Tuesday as part of a presidential tradition dating back years.
At noon, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump pardoned Waddle and Gobble, the two birds that will be spared from the dinner table.
Gobble and Waddle were raised in North Carolina and will return there after being officially pardoned.
