More than 2,000 Lynchburg-area Appalachian Power customers without power

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Appalachian Power reported power outages in the Lynchburg area on Friday night.

More than 2,000 customers were without power, according to AEP. It’s not clear what caused the outage.

Here is a look at the number of customer outages, as of 10:58 p.m. Friday:

• Campbell County: 1,785
• Lynchburg: 656
