A library... in the bathroom? South Roanoke home for sale goes viral

The home is on the market for $595,000

ROANOKE. Va. – A South Roanoke home is dominating the “Zillow Gone Wild” Instagram page, which has nearly a million followers.

At first glance, the property on Hemlock Lane looks like a beautiful home with gorgeous upgrades to the interior, including an indoor pool.

But that’s not what has the comments section — it’s the fact that there’s a mini-library in the bathroom.

The realtor selling the home says it was originally used to hold towels for the indoor pool but now holds books. And she’s hopeful this added attention will help sell the house.

“It has created quite a buzz. It’s created a lot of conversation and that conversation ahs definitely impacted the interest in the house,” says Susan Bailey, realtor with Long & Foster Real Estate.

In case you’re wondering, the home is on the market for $595,000.
