Danville Police locate 7-week-old baby in NC Amber Alert, parents taken into custody

Jupiter was released to Caswell County Child Protective Services


The Danville Police Department has shared additional information regarding the Amber Alert issued out of North Carolina Thursday night.

The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office issued an Amber Alert about a parental abduction of a 7-week-old baby girl, Jupiter Aria Caudle. She was in the custody of her parents 42-year-old Jody Caudle and 24-year-old Taylor Crawford.

Authorities reported they were last seen leaving the Travel Inn in Danville. That’s when Danville Police were called in and began working closely with the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 7:18 p.m. Thursday, Danville Police located the parents in the 3000 block of West Main Street. Authorities said they found Jupiter safe and unharmed with the parents.

Both Caudle and Crawford were taken into custody on charges unrelated to the abduction. According to the Danville Police Department, both were charged with fugitive from justice.

According to Danville Police, Jupiter was released to Caswell County Child Protective Services.
