Police identify 22-year-old man who died in Carroll County motorcycle crash

CARROLL COUNTY, Va. – On Tuesday afternoon, authorities released the name of the North Carolina man who died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday afternoon.

Arin M. Escoto, 22, of Greensboro, N.C., was going south on Route 52 on a 2017 Yamaha YZF-R6 when police said he ran off the right side of the road hit a guardrail and then crossed back across the highway and ran off the left side before going over an embankment and overturning.

The crash remains under investigation.

A motorcycle driver is dead after a crash in Carroll County on Sunday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.

Authorities said the accident happend around 1:45 p.m. on Route 52 about two miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The driver was flown to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where they died early Monday morning, according to State Police.

Authorities said the crash remains under investigation.
