HENRY COUNTY, Va. – Two people were airlifted after a crash in Henry County on Wednesday afternoon, according to Virginia State Police.
Authorities said the accident happened around 4:25 p.m. at the intersection of Route 692 and Route 58.

A 2006 Kia Spectra was making a left turn onto Route 692, failed to yield right of way and was then hit by a tractor-trailer that was going east on Route 58, according to police.
Police said Trenton Sams, 19, of Axton was driving the Kia with passenger 20-year-old Trenton Cafferty-Smith and both were wearing seatbelts. Both were airlifted to Wake Forest for treatment of injuries from the crash, authorities said.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 57-year-old man, was not hurt, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
