CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – International Women’s Day is on March 8 and a Domino’s in Christiansburg is ready to celebrate.

The pizza joint, located at 1655 Roanoke St., will be donating 100% of its sales from that day to two local nonprofits: Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley and Lishy’s Gift.

The Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley provides services to victims of sexual and domestic violence. Lishy’s Gift is female-led and aims to improve the quality of life for young adult cancer patients living in the Roanoke area.

“We wanted to do something meaningful in honor of International Women’s Day, as it’s a day that is very near and dear to our hearts,” said Kevin Shaw, franchise owner of the Christiansburg Domino’s. “We hope that the community comes out and supports these fantastic charities by ordering Domino’s on March 8.”

The store will also be hosting Ally Shaw, co-franchise owner of Domino’s in Christiansburg and author of Chasing Tigers in the Dark: Life Lessons of a Fierce Survivor. A portion of the book sales will also go to the nonprofits.

Domino’s in Christiansburg will be entirely staffed by female workers on the holiday as well.
