Roanoke provides free gun locks to city school families

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke’s Gun Violence Prevention Commission is providing gun locks to families of Roanoke City Public Schools.

Officials say to contact your child’s school to receive a free gun lock.

The gun locks will be available on June 1.

If you would like one sooner, gun locks are currently available at the Roanoke City Police Department located at 348 Campbell Ave.
