One hospitalized after Roanoke shooting

Police investigating after a woman’s body was found in Roanoke County

Roanoke, Va. – Around 11 Saturday evening, Roanoke Police responded to reports of shots fired from a person with a gunshot wound in the 900 block of Kellogg Ave NW.

While in route, officers were notified that an adult male with gunshot wounds had arrived personally at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Officers who arrived at the Kellogg Avenue NW address located evidence of a shooting in the area, but no additional victims.

Additional officers who went to the hospital were advised the victim had non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said it is early in the investigation, but all parties involved in this incident are known to one another.

Details about what led to the shooting are limited at this time. No arrests have been made regarding this incident. This remains an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police.
