LYNCHBURG, Va. – A Lynchburg bakery is gaining national attention from her appearance on a TV show.
The owner of Mrs. Joy’s Absolutely Fabulous Treats, Tarsha Joyner is a contestant on the show, “Crime Scene Kitchen.”
On the show, Joyner and her daughter have to recreate recipes from a series of clues.
The winner of the competition is awarded $100,000.
“The best part of being on this type of show is being a part of the competition because I love to compete,” said Joyner.
Back at her Lynchburg bakery located on Commerce Street, Joyner says customers’ favorites include lemon cookies, giant cinnamon rolls, and donuts.
Joyner is also in the running to be crowned “Best Chef” by the James Beard Foundation.
