FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – Virginia State Police is investigating after a 22-year-old woman was killed in a Franklin County crash early Saturday morning.
State troopers said the crash happened shortly before 2 a.m., close to where Gilmer Branch Road intersects with Taylors Road.

According to reports, 22-year-old Lindsey R. Hogan, of Boones Mill, was headed north in a 2017 Ford Fusion when she went off the road to the left and hit a tree on the driver’s side.
VSP told 10 News that Hogan died at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt, authorities said.
The crash remains under investigation and a cause has not yet been determined.
