Montgomery County pushes for expanded broadband access

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – Montgomery County is making strides in its efforts to provide internet access to residents who currently lack connectivity at home. Gigabeam Networks is spearheading this initiative, installing equipment from Montgomery County to Bland County. This year, the company is intensifying its efforts to connect more homes to the internet.

The ultimate goal is to provide internet access to over 12,000 homes across Montgomery and Bland counties. So far, Gigabeam Networks has successfully supplied internet access to 1,300 homes and businesses.
