ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Developers have started demolition at the historic Poage Farm site, a property that has been a point of contention among community members.

In December, A-Boone Real Estate withdrew its application to rezone the property for multi-family housing following public concerns. Despite opposition to tearing down the historical site, county officials confirm that the property owner holds the necessary permits for demolition.
