ROANOKE, Va. – Update:
Donnie D’s Bagel and Deli released a statement after a fire at their Roanoke location Friday.
The release said in part:
As most are aware, we had a life changing event happen! You see and hear things and you think “oh, that will never happen to me.” Our minds are mush and the inside of Donnie D’s looks pretty bad but we will survive and conquer. We have a great support system to help us along the way. The journey will not be easy and the bagel dough is ruined but nobody is injured! All the things we lost is just “stuff” and that we are thankful for! Roanoke we love you and will be back better than ever for a second grand opening! When the open sign is on we will be ready!
With that said, we know how much our community loves us! Donnie D’s in Daleville will be OPEN tomorrow (no bagels) but we can make a killer cheesesteak or fried bologna or whatever you want on the menu on white bread, Kaiser roll, wheat bread, rye bread, GF white bread, croissant and a variety of wraps.
We are hoping that even though we don’t have bagels you will still come and support us till we can get back on our feet. We love all of our customers and are so thankful for every single message, call, text and emoji during this time!
With love, A devastated Donnie D and his amazing crew!
